This course comprises the following units such as compulsory health and safety, 2 to 3 units from either the independent living skills pathway or the citizenship and community studies pathway, 2 units from assertiveness, improving students learning, IT, interview skills, introduction to skills for work, managing money, personal presentation, rights and responsibilities, plus 1 unit if required from dealing with problems, introduction to computers, investigating personal lifestyle, personal safety, positive alternatives to paid work, producing a product, setting up an enterprise, working in the community, working together, their role at work. In addition they will learn literacy and numeracy, IT, travel training, drama and tutorial sessions.
